All you have to do is pick a challenge and do it for 30 days. After the 30 days it will be in your system and you don’t need to think about it every time, you just do it. Like brushing your teeth.

It’s now 2012 and lot’s of people are joining with challenges. It really great, it looks like this has real value for people. What do you think?

Shunryu Suzuki said: “When we forget the fundamental source of our creating, we are like children who do not know what to do when they lose their parents.”

What we have, what we do and what we think does not determine who we are.

It’s where we come from. And there are two ways of thinking about this. The first one is God, the seconde one is Nature / Universe. In both theories we all have one source, but we forget this in all our doing.

The question I’d like to answer is: “what is real value? and how do we create it?”. I’ve been wondering if we can ask ourself this question. Are our true values permanent or do we switch in our values?

After some research I found out, that there is a shift that people will make in their lives (well most of them). This is a shift in values is researched by W. R. Miller & J. C’DeBaca. It’s called The moment your values are turned upside down.

After this shift the values you grew up with are no longer valid for you. The shift can happen by some event, somebody or a small thing. They say it’s like some sort of epiphany. Man and woman shift differently in values the researchers say.

Bottom-line: human values change over time, small and major changes. Values are different for everybody and even when this major change will happen if difficult to find an answer to “what is real value”. Do we really know what spirituality, personal peace, honesty, happiness means?

The question remains, “How do we create real value”?
